Prepping for heat.

I know right now it seems like warmth will never happen, especially if you live on the west coast of Canada right now. I'm currently typing this out with a turtleneck, button up, blazer, jacket and blanket scarf on... The chill is real.
But to entice people and get you all ready for the burst of warmth that will hopefully happen soon, here's a bit of Spring/Summer inspiration for you all, courtesy of SSENSE.

I'm pretty much avoiding all real "trend" looks this upcoming season, mainly cause as a whole, I was very disappointed in the SS17 shows. I'm very curious for the FW17 shows to start up though. From what I've seen from pre-fall, we're in good hands. But enough about fall/winter, lets focus on whats (slowly) on it's way!
For women, i've really fallen in love with muted primary colours. So I decided to focus the outfit around that with pops of white throughout. We're starting things off with this Thom Browne bucket hat ($335CAD) and then tying in the white with a Loewe asymmetrical white button up ($1175CAD) to add some levels to the outfit. I'm all about button ups buttoned improperly. I think it looks so effortlessly lazy but so perfect. I've definitely been doing it with jackets. Next up we're bringing in some Stella. I love the look of these trousers and I think they'll fit in perfectly with my primary idea. Check out the Stella McCartney Buttoned cuff stitching trousers ($950CAD). Loving the ballerina flat look coming round, so I thought I'd add that in with one of my favorite brands right now. I'm talking about Jacquemus. I honestly need more. So here's the Jacquemus Les Chaussures Lacees Loafers ($710CAD). Of course no look is complete without a bag. I know I've never really been one for the 'It' bags, but I am honestly obsessed with the Chloe Faye bag ($2500), and I think this colour works perfectly with our look.

Now moving onto menswear. Weirdly I've been obsessing over a lot of the less normcore, 90s mess menswear (unlike the rest of the world). So i'm officially putting a ban on featuring Vetements or Gosha for Spring. Also don't bring up the LVxSupreme collaboration cause it makes my eyes bleed. (#UnopoularOpinion)

I'm once again going against the grain. We're focusing on pastels for men's this round. Such a step away from my normal choices, but I'm really feelin the colours going on here. We're starting off with a pair of Thom Browne Gold TB 903 shades ($875CAD). Perfect pop of colour to start it off. I decided to bring in some fun with the Dolce + Gabbana Sax and Cello player pouch ($875CAD). Next up is some of Stella McCartney's brand new menswear line! I'm pretty sure SS17 is it's first season, and I'm really excited to hear about it! So in honour of that, I decided to include this ver Missoni styled knit. Check out the Stella McCartney stripe knit sweater ($1320CAD) here! Obviously you need to layer a crisp white button up under such a great sweater, so we're keeping it simple with Thom Browne ($560CAD). I've also decided go big or go home, so I'm feeling like these Pink Gucci trousers ($1065CAD). And to tie in the yellow throughout, we'll finish off with these Valentino Sneakers ($790CAD)

Hopefully I've given you some ideas for the Spring/Summer2017 season! I know I'm definitely looking forward to fall/winter. So lets hope for some good shows!
