Three shoes, Three looks: Dr. Martens

They're probably the best all-year shoe you could invest in. I personally have had so many pairs over the years and can't help but fall back to them. Dr. Martens are by far the perfect shoe. You can easily dress it up, down or however you like and today we're gonna go through three different looks with three different Dr. Martens.
I'd say the best source for all your Dr. Martens needs comes from Union Jack Boots. As a Canadian, it is so hard to hunt down certain brands without getting struck with conversion rates, shipping, duties and so much more. So having a site like Union Jack Boots that's based in Canada, has Canadian prices and free shipping over $75 is phenomenal!
So lets hop right into the looks I've created with the three Dr. Marten's you see above:

Look 1: The statement shoe with the statement bag

So we're gonna start things off with the boot dreams are made of. I have this secret obsession with the Renaissance so when I saw these online, I knew I had to come up with some kind of look for them! I decided to play it up a bit, and stick with the browns in the boot and carry them throughout the look. Starting off with a Loewe graphic sweater. The lighter browns, tans and yellows in the sweater really play off the shoes and by tossing over the Ann Demeulemeester reversible coat, you can either showcase the browns or have a soft detailing of it with the black side of the coat. On the bottom I decided to keep things fairly simple with one of my favorite street style brands: VETEMENTS. That looser denim with the frayed bottom just brings a much more casual feel to the look. And to finish it off, I had to toss in the Thom Browne Hector bag because it is just too cool. It throws things off a little bit which I obviously love.

Look 2: Buy now, wear now 90s edition

Okay so personally, I prefer the 70s trend over the 90s, but I decided to challenge myself with something. I'm pretty attached to the Dr. Marten shoes vs the boots. I really like the look of them on me more. So I had to use my favorite pair! I LOVE the sleek all white to these ones and they fit perfectly with the look above! I decided to focus more on "buy now, wear now" with this look since the other was so fall based. Sticking with lighter denim and lighter layering as well.
Starting it off with the J.W. Anderson turtleneck of my dreams layered under the Calvin Klein Collection denim jacket. I thought it'd be fun to mix denims so I brought in these Acne Studios light wash denim with that looser fit as well. And to finish it off, we all need some Damir Doma sunglasses.

Look 3: Interview with a Vampire
Obviously had to reference one of my favorite movies with this look. I love all black. It feels so safe and so nice. Also love the chelsea boot style Dr. Martens so much! I think it brings a sleek look to the boot, but I like how the sole creates the perfect reference to the brand.
So with our "vampiric" look, I decided to keep it very dark. Tossing on the Burberry coat with the fur lapel. Then taking it to this amazing Balenciaga button up with a flipped up collar. Of course we need to add in a slick pair of cropped trousers from Helmut Lang, then finishing it off with the perfect hat from Robert Geller.
